You may have seen an approval form that Boyd signed, but as another anon pointed out all city contracts (with limited exceptions) must be signed by the mayor and no one else. Ciber was allowed to rack up a hefty 15mil in Hurricane Katrina charges under Greg Meffert and then Mark Kurt (current Ciber employee) watch. After long battles, FEMA finally did pay but in order for the City to pay Ciber a contract amendment was needed to add the extra cash to Ciber's contract.

If the CH anon is right, I don't think this has anything to do with Crime Camera settlement. However, the fact that Ciber was allowed to freely and questionably rack up 15mil in so call Hurricane Katrina charges should be looked at. But if the FEDS paid the City then Ciber's off the hook.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30412896.post-18981891087055894172009-11-05T05:49:41.189-06:002009-11-05T05:49:41.189-06:00I'm glad to her from Anon that there is a bett...I'm glad to her from Anon that there is a better explanation for this than the "voodoo contracting" scenario Dambala worries about, but along with everyone else, I'd like to hear it.

I'd also like to know who deleted Nagin's e-mails, and a whole bunch of other things.

There have been a number of good questions asked, and not many good answers provided.

Second Anon, can't you see that just saying "trust us" isn't going to fly?

Readers of this blog alone have seen a lot of those pat answers exposed.

If you've got the knowledge to correct a mistaken assumption, please share it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30412896.post-65729916232780386122009-11-04T21:20:00.711-06:002009-11-04T21:20:00.711-06:00The reason that Harrison "Boil on Our Ass&quo...The reason that Harrison "Boil on Our Ass" Boyd did not sign is that if the "also" Recovery Director signed off on ANOTHER $ 6.3 million of financial quicksand for the City it would constitute a conflict of interest.Pusseynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30412896.post-47740482720962685312009-11-04T21:19:16.536-06:002009-11-04T21:19:16.536-06:00i apologize for the knee-jerk response but this sh...i apologize for the knee-jerk response but this shit really pisses me off.

If my imagination is in overdrive it's because I have nothing to go on but the lack of information this administration has provided.

I'm pissed.
