I was just saying to the boy last week, "As long as you're in a town with a po-boy shop on every corner, I am not taking you to Quizno's. Ask me again next time we're in Kenner."
Law...yes Jacque Imo's is incredible. It's actually a restaurant and he has another place called Crabby Jacks which is a great lunch spot....the duck po-boy is in my opinion, the best po-boy in the city. But i do love duck.
We just had French Quarter Festival and he had a booth set up on Jackson Square.
Plus I want to note that while many chains shut down and never came back after the storm....including Taco Hell...Pizza Hut...etc. Quizznos' came in and opened restaurants all over town..including in the middle of Broadmoor when other people wouldn't even look at it.
But Maitri, don't you enjoy the double entendre of her saying that a girl needs a lot of meat?
I like the rabbit and ferdie po-boys at Crabby Jacks, but, that smothered duck is amazing.
And when stranded in Chicago, I do like me a prime rib Quizno...back in da day (like 1982), Subway made an "Alaskan King Crab" sub. No krab with a K, this was the real stuff. I guess that sammich would cost about $40 these days.

..or anybody that's ever had a po' boy anywhere.
yeah....I just had a duck po-boy at Jacque Imo's booth this weeekend...you can't even put our cuisine in the same category.
So D your recommendation when I get to N.O. is Jacque Imo's booth? That sounds good!! Do you have another hot spot for some down home cajun food?

Because I'm in boycott of that stupid giggling girl on their commercials ... and Subway is healthier for you.

But Maitri, Didn't Quizno's also have commercials with the We Like the Moon uh things? How could you boycott that?
damn, I'd forgotten that. it's still as funny as it was the first time i saw it.
Quizno's got the little guy off of Chicken Nuggets at Mickey D's. I just can't bring myself to boycott it.
