Who needs dreams

In one of my psilocybin induced epiphanies back in college....staring into the Mississippi pines with dilated pupils as the sun rose...it occured to me that if I could just stay awake all the time I could figure everything out. I think I was hugging a tree at the time. I'm not sure if it was the tree that told me this, but it occured to me how much we forget when we have to go to sleep every night and wake up the next day. If we could just run continuously, we could accumulate and process information so much better.

It looks like I may get to test that theory:

Snorting a Brain Chemical Could Replace Sleep

I'm all for it. I'm ready to get a carbon fiber backbone, too. As a matter of fact, just cut my head off and put it on a robot body. I'm not scared of technology, I'm just scared we won't develop it fast enough to go cyborg before I die.

No sleep is a great start.

Wow, if I could stay up round the clock I could probably deal with Entergy, The Road Home, SWB, Lines at the DMV, maybe even 20% of the issues that I deal with post k. Wow. Sleep is for people with too much time on their hands, anyway.

I like sleeping. I think it helps us process the information we've taken in while awake and that it enhances clarity and awareness by allowing us access to that which is beyond our conscious thinking. I've been sleep deprived for years and yearn "to sleep, perchance to dream." ;)

Sounds Fantastic! Would love to know if this stuff really works. I wonder what the side effects are?... because you know, it's got to have a lot of side effects.
I bet you this stuff will make you sleepy as one of the side effects, along with the normal possible nausea and vomiting, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, and/or weight gain!
I might be willing to try...who knows...I think I'll sleep on it!!
