Where we're at

I don't know.

Keep in mind that the comment section is just that...people commenting. I honestly don't know what is going on. And just to keep things straight....this comment:

Clancy--
The investigations began several years ago and was "suspended" because several dozen offshoot investigations emerged. This is probably as wide of an investigation as the Feds have conducted since perhaps the Goti case in NY. I've heard numbers ranging from 60 to as high as 90 individuals that will ultimately be convicted. The corruption moves into several parishes statewide.

....is not from Clancy Dubos....it was apparently written by someone to Mr. DuBos.

So honestly guys...I don't know what is going on.

But if something already happened, I would bet that a press conference would be called tomorrow.

Sorry to interject this but did anyone see Sen. Landrieu's comments on Letten in the Sunday paper? To me, it is sounding less and less likely that she will be recommending Letten to stay on. I'd say that is an extremely important factor in all of this. And if it happen,s well, motive becomes another issue.

The general consensus in various federal law enforcement circles is that Sen. Landrieu is playing politics with the investigations. She will lose a lot of credibility and further alienate any potential support that Mitch might get if she doesn't support Letten.

The mere suggestion that Dale Atkins be appointed is disgusting in and of itself.

Has the mouthpiece of the Landrieu family come out and encouraged Landrieu to endorse Letten? Where are you Gambit Magazine?
