The Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society and the Louisiana State Museum will cohost a reception July 1 for Reza Aslan, author of the international bestseller, No God But God, and the new book How to Win A Cosmic War. He is a regular commentator on the Middle East for CBS and he also has regular guest appearances on such news/talk shows as MSNBC's Rachel

Just curious as to what you think is so insightful about this clip...

no so much the clip....i'm referring to his books. Aside from being one of the best stylistic writers I've read in a while, the books are highly informative.

Ok. I haven't read his books. But as an author, he's not doing a splendid job of selling his knowledge... which makes me uninterested to read them. If you are advocating that he is the go-to guy on Iranian affairs, and you present a clip which is common sense, at best, and propagandizing, at worst, then I tend to skip your posts on foreign policy after the initial assessment.

You're still the go-to guy on local corruption issues.

There's a thing tonight at Octavia Books on bootstrap business recovery after Katrina. That got my interest piqued on subject matter alone.
