He may be pissing in the wind

...but damn he gets my blood pumping. I love Taibbi.

All I can think about is how helpless we've become in the face of Bernanke and the Federal Reserve, we've been completely fleeced and we have no legislative or representative control over it. Andrew Jackson would have already led a militia into Manhattan at this point and gutted the entire fucking town, skyscraper by skyscraper.

This country has effectively become a giant plantation. We're begging the masters for basic human rights....like health care.....and they're quite literally telling us to fuck off and die. Hell they even have most of middle America convinced it's not in their best interest. These guys are truly masters of deception....and we're truly idiots.

I offer this basic truth...and invite anyone to please pose a rational retort if you can offer it:

The Federal Reserve Act signed in 1913 was uncostitutional from it's inception.

Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution - No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

What that means is that no tax shall be levied against Americans without a consesus vote....in order for any form of taxation to be instituted upon the people of the this country....we have to vote on it.

Now, Amendment XVI (ratified February 3, 1913...the creation of the Federal Reserve) - The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

You see what they did? They overturned a Consitutional mandate requiring a consensus vote to incorporate any new taxes by simply saying this article is no longer valid. How can you do that without a consensus vote? They rewrote...no...they overturned the Constitution without the consent of the American populous. A rational mind would call that a coup d'etat...we called it the Federal Reserve Act.

Flash forward 100 years....the abomination has evolved to the point where it's become so brash that its funneling what's left of the wealth of this country into a single bank...Goldman Sachs. We have no way of stopping it....none....nor do we have the will.

We've simply become slaves on the Goldman plantation.

Rule #1: Don't talk about Fight Club.

Really starting to wonder about this "two party system." Bush had Tarp; Obama had ARRA (Stimulus).... and what?

Bernanke, Paulson and Geithner are all GS alum, aren't they?

However, in the Constitution, there's *still* this:

>No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time.< - Art. I, Sec. 9[7].

It seems to me the drafters of Amendment XVI got part of it, but forgot that bit, so perhaps it would be unconstitutional to prevent that.

still trying to figure out the "health care" is a human right stmt. Otherwise, good topic for discussion!

A expert speaking on the BBC World Service said Goldman did so well because they got to collect at 100% on their insurance contracts with AIG (the ones that destroyed them), where no one else was able to. Thus, they were able to loot bailout money through insurance payouts and call it profit.

The IRS loves those that claim income tax is unconstitutional as they usually base their false claim on the same section you quoted in the article.

As for the anon. post reffing Art. I, Sec. 9[7]. The GPO posts revenues and expenditures every quarter in the Federal Register and on the web, nothing illegal going on (at least now).

As for Health Care being a Human Right, from a social point of view it is. That does not mean it should be a handout, just affordable.

Instead Insurance Companies, HMO's and Pharmaceutical Companies have bribed their way into our government and co-o[ted the laws to favor them over the patient.

They are particularly scared right now at the potential loss of profits and will say absolutely anything to scare americans into not standing up for themselves in terms of health care.
