Tourism tips advise New Orleans to be quiet on crime, not music: James Gill
I'm really curious where Gill got that 2 million dollar number. The only reference the TP had to the cost previously was Jaquetta White's article in 2010 where she was told it was only 250k by Doug Thornton.
If he's pulling it from me...I only came up with 1.5 million.
Public Entities -
New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corp. - $250k
Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District - $250k
Lt. Gov. Office of Culture, Recreation and Tourism - $250k
Convention Center - $250k
Public/Private -
New Orleans Conventions and Visitors Bureau - $250k
Private -
Harrahs Casino - 125k+??? not sure on amount
Various Hotel/Motels - ?????
Do not snicker at the gobbledegook, because the laugh is on us. The Boston Consulting Group charged $2 million.

I have since confirmed that the various hotel/motel line item was actually the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) who put in 250k as well.
So just for the record...I could only find 1.5 million, not 2 million unless Gill and the TP have traced down records I haven't found. I'd like to see those expenditures and who paid the extra 500k if they have traced that information down.

The epilogue to this story is that Stephen Perry is up to be Chancellor of LSU in Baton Rouge.
Are they not minting any new sychophants since the Foster Administration?
Further proof there won't be any difference between the Jindal and Landrieu Administrations....
It's not over until all are sure that none will sing:
