I clicked on the old links you included in the post you are bumping the comment from, and there was a comment about the woman who was so destroyed by what was happening in her part of town that she burst into tears when someone gave her a can of pears.

You were right about the Mexican casino. Apparently John Georges was bought out before the whole think went to shit and the managing partner killed a rival casino owner.
