Ooooh, goody.
As much as I'd like to put a dollar on Shelley (a million to one is worth a bet any day of the week), I'll lay the chalk and go with CWL.
I really really hope your right that the hammer will fall this week.
I am going to get a room at Duncan Plaza to be near the festivities.
Hope you're right BUT you've been predicting this for quite some time. Maybe we should have a bona fide blogger pool or maybe not...
You forgot James Carter...he is easy to forget. Never says a word.
Without even looking at the odds I'd put my money of Willard-Lewis.
Never a dull moment...
Any chance that they'll be going after any state representatives? A couple of reps that urged the council to adopt the contracts last year, were on TV this morning saying that it would be unfair to renegotiate them now. Personally, i think Head blew it by talking about renegotiating. She should talk of holding them to the contracts and make Metro and Richards beg for the renegotiation. But you really think it'll happen before the budget vote Friday?
From the report I got from Karen about the circus which was today's council meeting....i think yes...it is coming before Friday. She rallied the troops today and slapped the race card in Head's face today. I think she's scared and she's going to do her best to try and paint it as a racial issue in hopes the Fed will back down...and that ain't gonna happen.
I wish I had been able to listen to Austin Badon and Cedric Richmond on the WWL morning news yesterday, or that WWL would post their interview. They urged the council to give the inflated contracts to the wonderful homegrown businessmen last year, yesterday they were on defending the contracts, but I had to go to work. It sounded like they might be headig in a racial direction when they started talking about the character of the businessmen involved, but I had to go to work. The impeccable character of Jimmie Woods -- that's really rich. What's the racial vendetta against Una Anderson, that alleged bribe was from Woods. Or his company.

doesn't matter, she was the quintessential "white bitch" on the NOPS to the AA activists and other AA members of the school board. They even labeled Lusher "Una's white school" when the truth is it had more of a minority population than Caucasian. She was constantly reminding them of this in the school board meetings but no one seemed to care about that statistic.
In that world Elite=White and vica-versa. Everything has the potential to be a white conspiracy.
I'm gonna write a post on it, methinks.
Village of the damned, there's not much room left in Duncan Plaza, so you better get a room/tent asap.
If you're gonna stay in Duncan Plaza you'd better bring you nylon mountain tent.
There's something very odd going on in Duncan Plaza.
The Duncan Plaza phenom is spreading, the building adjacent to it has a lot of bedding gear.
It is like the Green Zone for the Homeless.
I wonder what the stats are for point of origin for the residents. How many of them lived in New Orleans before the storm?
