Dissent among Thieves

Hornsby!!! Hornsby!!! Hornsby!!!

That was the culmination of the insane rant former NOPS board member, Elliot "Doc" Willard, cried when advocating the nomination of Andre J. Hornsby over former Superintendent Anthony Amato.  Amato won the vote with a 4/3 decision...ironically, now indicted Ellenese Brooks-Simms cast the deciding vote for Amato.  If you saw the documentary Left Behind, you know the drama surrounding the decision.

So what happened to Hornsby?  He got a job in Maryland at Prince George's County public school system.   And here's the result of the magnificent job he did for them:

I guess New Orleans gets lucky every once and a while.  I shudder at the thought of the damage Hornsby could have done in New Orleans school system.

Despite her many transgressions while serving on our school board, I think we may owe Ellenese a debt of gratitude this time for helping us avoid this disaster.

Speaking of Left Behind, what's the status?

I wanted to buy a bunch of copies and mail them to friends across the country.

The recut didn't lose any of the power of the first cut. What's the holdup?
