I would just like to tell Mr. Ellis (via this contraption) thanks for showing and thanks for offering to engage in a free exchange of ideas, facts, arguments and thoughts for public viewing.
Good for him and if he so does it it speaks well of him and makes a lot more sense than his prior methods.
I agreed to give Mr. Ellis an open invitation to address whatever he wanted to address. He told me he was going to write his grievances in a letter and I will post it un-edited. I am currently waiting for that dispatch.
When you do respond, I would LUV to know more about Shamrock Ventures, LLC, which appears to be a real estate management company that consists of you and your wife.
Has another side business of yours, Opus Consulting LLC, ever gotten consulting work from the City of New Orleans, or from any of the companies that get city contracts (Benetech, etc)?
If "Opus" (little ole you) does do work for the City, I might have thought that your City Attorney salary covered the bases when the City wanted your opinion. But then I'm not a bidniz man.
If Opus works for firms that get city contracts, that's a lot like a guy taking money for explaining to his friends how to get into his sister's pants, isn't it?
When your letter confirms that you did not do that, I think there will be a collective sigh of relief.
Oh, but wait...you confirmed your side work for Benetech in that T-P article, didn't you?
Longhorn Investments LLC is another strange beast. It seems to be your wife and your Texas law partner, Richard P. Canlas, and as far as I can tell from the US Dept. of Treasury site, it invests in seized properties. Say it ain't so!
If that is not the case, it would help me sleep at night to learn otherwise. This letter is going to be a great read.
You are a facinating man. You must live in a world of 85 hour days, to run all these businesses and to put your heart into your work for such a troubled city.
Water cooler chit chat about that libel suit threat was amazing. Everybody knew a different little thing, and now we are all curious about much more than we were before that article.
Well Played.
Does Creative Brothers Publishing actually publish newspapers, books, and periodicals, or does it only donate money to Steve Scalise?
And which bank is it that you own part of? Is it Crescent Bank & Trust? Someone else thought it was First NBC. Maybe you no longer own part of a bank.
But are you the Robert Ellis Jr. of Robert Ellis Real Estate in Houston Texas?
That business advertizes that it does real estate appraisals.
How can it be you, as you are swamped with so much other work?
I'm personally of the opinion that it could not possibly be you, but the point that you are already involved in real estate things is compelling.
It will be comforting to read your letter, and to hear that it is some other Robert Ellis Jr. of Houston Texas entirely.
