another Republican? I thought she was a Democrat. . . at least she seems too reasonable, sane and grownup to be a Republican. . . And doesn't Batt have the GOP vote sewn up?

Yeah, this is just weird. I think Batt will knock her out easily. She has a lot of cred in Mid-City (where she was one of the leaders of the recovery group) and working for Fielkow got her out and about around town, but I just dont' get it.

Its a republican district so it makes sense and she will take away alot of Batt's Republican votes.

Maybe I'm crazy talking, but I hope we don't see Blanque dividing the Republican vote, acting as a spoiler, leaving Deborah Langoff to annouce herself as the Democratic candidate and win it. Is there still time for her to enter?

She was considering it, I heard.

And I wouldn't touch her with a barge pole if you're really serious about wanting an end to the Nagin era.

Langoff is friends with (and willing to write letters of endorsement and support for) some of the Nagin-iest Nagin lackeys around.

If the Fradella/HSOA stuff raised your eyebrows or turned your stomach, kick the tires a bit before you vote. Some of those people connected to that are connected to her as well.

Blanque, Republican though she is, would be a better choice than Langoff and certainly better than some of the other Democratic names being suggested.

Virginia would be awsome in that seat. I dont see why she couldnt beat batt. Seems that many dont want batt in. When it comes time to pull the lever is what counts. People will see what she is all about before that. I also think she can beat Susan out as well. She relates to all walks of live extremly well. I think she will win it as long as she gets herself out there. Wispa

Glad it is Susan not Deborah, and yes, Virginia could win and I hope she does.
