I am tired of reading about "wildlife refuge(s) threatened by political interests".
If the USA produces 9 million barrels of oil a day and consumes 18 million barrels a day, I'd say that overconsumption is the freaking problem.
Paving or drilling in all that is left of wild America is not going to fix this.
Buy a bicycle and learn to ride it, friend, is my response to my fellow American.
This is more important than whether you vote Republican, Democrat, Independant, or not at all.
Oh, and eat locally grown food where ever you can.
My kid just told me that she "has to go sashay", and who am I to argue with that?

PS: do you have an update on the fate of those wild horses you wrote about a while ago?
My teenage goddaughter could not get over the fact that they were giving birth control to wild horses (not to mentioning just killing them anbd making cat food) in a country that will not teach sex education to teenagers, and that is defunding birth control even for grown up women.
I hate when the kids look at you like you should have been able to fix this shit before they got to be 16.
You want to say, "It wasn't so long ago that I myself was 16... except, of course, that we are old farts, and it was a long time ago that we were 16.
Somehow telling the kid that though we are old, we are still immature, pot smoking alcohol imbibers who don't know shit does not impress them.
yeah I will let them know but just getting it the issue on FB was an amazing effort.
