It's the dog, not the human. Goatee was a very special dog to his owner and to his friends...I lived in the same house with him for about a year after my house was wiped out in Katrina. It was just me and Goatee in a very lonely period in my life. He was such an amazing dog, and that's coming from someone who grew up in the country around 10 to 20 dogs. He lived a full life and was well taken care of, just sad to see him go.
There is a nobility about some dogs that puts most human beings to shame.
This is still true even though we have seen them lick their balls (don't tell me you've never envied this ability) and eat things that seem to be mostly decayed.

I figured it was the dog.

Warriors and war hounds live by the law of brotherhood. The great beyond will await our spirits and the spirits of our love ones will be waiting.
