in the last two days i received a property assessment twice what it was last year and a notice that my hoome owners and auto insurance is cancelled as of Oct. They're pulling out of New Orleans. Oh, yeah, they offered an alternative insurance at double the price. There seems to be no answer to the crime here....
Perseverence is getting old. We're discussing moving as well. We can always visit as tourists.
Why don't we just go back to public utlities...I miss the NOPSI days. The sooner we go green and get away from these bastards the better.

Then again, since RTA is nearly as dysfunctional as Entergy at this point (56 flippin' minutes between buses on *Broad*?!), maybe we should just bring back the old NOPSI!

Entergy, Entergy, Entergy...The price of fuel is so got damn high because of your President, BUSH. Entergy is the only Fortune 500 Company who has it's corporate office in New Orleans. Yet they continue receive nothing but negative comments. I appreciate what they do for the community. Every event you attend in New Orleans was sponsored in part by Entergy!! What would we do without them.
NOPSI, please....this City can't run City Government or Sewerage and Water Board and you want them to run the utility company? You think the bills are high. What would happen if the City has to buy the fuel on the open market? Entergy New Orleans buys fuel from Entergy Corporation at a discount!! Be careful what you wish for...
