Something Wicked This Way Comes...

I've been tipped on a corruption story that is....how do I put this....

I'm in due diligence process now. If this is true....wowza.

This dwarfs anything I've ever written on this blog.

You *CAN'T* put something like this out there with so little information! It's torture!

At least tell us when you'll be able to tell us.

I can tell you when i can tell you....I have to do the legwork on this and get the evidence. I have to do this one right.

I can tell you I actually speculated on this on a post back in November. Since then people have come forward and confirmed it and their is evidence...and a whole lot of shit going on around it....very illegal...and very nasty. I just have to get to the source of the evidence first. Just hang with me.

Oh Baby! Just give it to me! Ohhh...

Really, this must be a good one if you are keeping mum about it. Keep digging dirt... I have a contact that may be able to verify things.

So it's got to be either the sanitation or the crime camera contracts.... either way, good stuff!

Looking back to November, I think the Ciber/Diebold references probably tell the tale of where this is leading. The post-Katrina voting stations, etc.

I would not be surprised if it had to do with the owners of the Saenger and Nagin. How does the owner of the Saenger get a "no bid" management contract for the newly remodeled Mahalia Jackson Theater and then the following Tuesday get a deal with the city on the Saenger. The deal? You are going to love this one. The owners of the Saenger (after collecting $7M from Katrina insurance) will "give" the city the Saenger. The city will repair the Saenger and bring it back to its "glory" to the tune of $40M and then give the "former owners" a "no bid" (wink, wink) management contract for the Saenger - effectively creating a theater/performing arts monopoly. Further, there are no plans to revitalize any of the other theater properties. The Broadway South legislation was supposed to revitalize FOUR privately owned theaters with investment money. At every turn the city did all that it could to discourage the theater district redevelopment. Why? Who knows? But why after three years has the most notorious "do nothing" mayor in the history of the country, now suddenly have the balls to pull the trigger on a deal? Who is getting what here? What are Nagin's plans after office? Hmmmmmmm. Handing out programs at the Saenger as an usher - for $250k a year? One never knows. But someone should ask!
