Perry and Midura get thanks and praise from everyone in our extended family.

As for me, I am wrestling with my own sinful nature. I want ALL the Nagin people to get into big trouble, and it is not right to be wishing anybody ill.

It steams me that any "friends of Ray's" might walk away unscathed or might continue to profit from the inside baseball.

Since one commentor here told his story, I can't get the image of the woman who cried over the gift of a can of pears out of my head.

It is hard to trust that all this will be made right. Can a broken heart give you a real heart attack?

The Times Picayune has already had an editorial calling for city layoffs. Actually, I guess it stopped just short of that. By my figuring, every million dollars wasted on a questionable contract, or other bullshit, is 20-30 more city workers, 20-30 human beings, that the city may need to lay off. I'll explain my reasoning when I finish the post that I started this morning, but it's something that should be emphasized between now and the Oct./Nov. budget discussions.

I have no idea where Medley came from on his ruling on this.

There is no provision for hiring "outside" counsel in the City Charter beyond the provisions for "special counsel."

I hope Medley doesn't tank on this one.

Hi, AZ.

I don't know how to make the kind of map Sparky made, but I have more addresses I'd like to see plotted that way. Would someone please explain how that mapping is done?

Is it hard to learn how to do it?

I don't know what Medley was thinking, either.

Is anyone else getting impatient for arrests and convictions?
