In the previous post I wasn't sure if hotel/motel tax in the HoZone is applicable to the entire city or just the hotel/motels in the zone. It is applicable to all hotel/motels with 10 rooms or more throughout the city. So those projected numbers are accurate. I wasn't sure what the difference between "Zone" and "district" meant but the district is the entire city.

Wait a minute. So the tax applies citywide but the money only gets spent in the "Zone" and (according to the original bill) by the members of the Zone-heavy Superboard?
How many times have we heard them say this is about them "taxing themselves" and wanting to control how the "self-tax" is spent? But they aren't taxing themselves. They're taxing all the rooms in the city. Is that right?
