DHECC - BP files for McGladrey Reports

The BP attorney, who drafted the scathing letter detailing how the Claims Office spent 14 million with auditing firm McGladrey, LLP and then buried their work has filed a motion to the Judge Barbier's court to force the office to produce the audit(s).

Here is Don Haycraft's motion (in segments/exhibits):

Main motion, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Some of those exhibits are funny because you clearly see how hard some of our local MSM entities are shilling for Juneau and the PSC.

I don't think there's any damn way Barbier can justify keeping these audits buried considering BP paid 14 million for them.  If he does deny the motion it would be the most blatant attempt to cover up Juneau and the PSC's misgivings yet.

But if that audit is as damning as I've heard it is, I'm sure Juneau bought the Judge a strong aperitif at Annunciation and pleaded with him to keep the cat in the bag.

On a side note, I've been super busy in the past week and I haven't had time to really go through the IBM zombie stalking report enough to comment on it.  Juneau also filed his response to BP's motion to remove him and I was only able to skim that but I want to comment on it as well.  Hopefully I will have some time this week to get 'er done.

Pat, doesn’t want anyone to see that the PSC got the money first during the first 3-4 moths of the settlement. If the audit doesn’t cover that fact then 14 million was wasted.

Yup. But I don't care what Juneau wants, I care that the Judge does the right thing.

True or False statements prior to the Fairness Hearing.

BP said yesterday in a statement that the settlement will be paid out of a $20 billion trust set up to compensate spill victims. Lawyers for the plaintiffs "said in a separate statement that settlement will resolve most private claims for economic loss, property damage and medical injuries."

Plaintiffs lawyers said there wasn’t a cap on the total damages BP has to pay.

“This settlement will provide a full measure of "compensation to hundreds of thousands,” Stephen J. Herman and James P. Roy, the plaintiffs’ co-liaison counsel, said in their statement. “It does the greatest amount of good for the greatest number of people.”

One other issue I wonder if it will break out the numbers on Represented by attorney vs Pro Se.

If this settlement is fair and transparent the number of claims paid and appeals won should demonstrate it, interested to see the audit.

IN-HALE:

What does it mean when a claim is "In Claims Administrator QA Process"?

Quality Assurance.

My BEL claim went from Quality Assurance to Policy 70 Verification in Progress. Any hope for me?

So after having the claim passed around by the court vendors billing BP. They ran out of reasons to deny your claim now they want to confirm you filed your tax returns.

Do not use the 4506 & 4506 T forms provided. Go to the IRS web site and only submit the years you selected for your bench mark and causation if it applies.

The forms provided from the claim center allows them to gather all transcripts between 2007 thru 2012.

IN-HALE:

Is what you described a response to the question about "In Claims Administrator QA Process" or the "Policy 70 Verification Process?"

Can anyone elaborate on exactly what role each one of theses jokers played in securing this failed settlement besides a 600 million dollar pay day.

My claim was in QA review then policy 70 verification now policy 70 verification concluded. What's the next step?

My claim is in the same stage "Policy 70 verification concluded." I am very frustrated and annoyed with the process. I am glad that they got even more of my tax return info because it will show more of a loss, something they probably were not thinking they would see.
I was one of the last to file a claim because I still feel like there is stuff out there in the gulf that is just waiting to surface with a big storm. So I understand my claim is going to be on the end of the tail of their processes, but this is taking it too far. I just want to get my debt that occurred due to this event, and that deepened because of the slow year or so after the fact.
